Course Selection System Introduction

『Updated Course Selection System Functionalities

1.Support for various Web browsers

2.Use of Student ID Number (NID user name) to access to the NID portal.

3.In the top right hand side of the Web Page click on the link for course selection system operating instructions. These instructions are available in English and Chinese.

4.If the Webpage loads in Chinese, use the Language Selection interface to select English if preferred.

5.After logging in, a reminder of the minimum and maximum allowed credits and the current number of selected credits will appear.

6.A reminder regarding automatic log out from the system if there is no activity for 10 minutes will appear.

7.Printing of class schedules.

8.General education courses are listed by category for ease of selection.

9.Real-time updates of remaining available course spaces are available.

10.Course schedule conflicts need to be resolved before adding more courses.

 

『Course Schedule Editing Instructions』

Once you are logged in, proceed to the “Course Announcement” page to view new courses, course changes and course closures, listed according to date of adjustment. To shorten the list, utilize the search function to search for a specific course according to type and date on which change was made.

  

『Course Add Instructions

1.Click on “Add/Drop Course” and input the desired course’s four-digit Identification Code.

2.Select “Detailed Course information” and click on the “Add Course” button.

3.A message will appear noting that the action is successful if the course has been successfully added.

4.If you are unable to add a specific course a message will appear in red explaining the reason for the failure to add the course.

5.Under “Detailed Course Information”, click on the “Remaining Course Places” button to view the remaining available course places in real time and the total number of places offered.

 

Course Drop Instructions

1.Click on “Add/Drop Course” and input the four-digit Identification Code of the course that you wish to drop, or select the course from the list provided.

2.Select “Detailed Course Information” then click on the “Drop Course” Button

3.A message will appear noting that the action is successful if the course has been successfully dropped.

4.If you are unable to drop a specific course a message will appear in red explaining the reason for the failure to drop the course.

5.Under “Detailed Course Information”, click on the “Remaining Course Places” button to view the remaining available course places in real time and the total number of places offered.

 

『Course Schedule Printing Instructions』

1.Click on the “Course Schedule” button. Then click on the “Print” Button.
